The word ‘advent’ means “coming” or “arrival.”  The focus of the entire season is preparation to celebrate the birth of Jesus the Christ in his First Advent, and the anticipation of the return of Christ the King in his Second Advent.  Advent also symbolizes the spiritual journey of individuals and a congregation, as they affirm that Christ has come, that He is present in the world today, and that He will come again in power.  

Join with us this Christmas season, as we celebrate and anticipate the coming of Jesus into the world and consider how we might live out His mission in our everyday moments.  Each Sunday, we'll hear the Scriptures, engage in worship through singing and prayer, and light the candles of longing as we consider the hope Christ brings into the world.

2025 Advent Offering

On Sunday, December 14, we'll have an opportunity to receive our Advent Offering to advance the vision of Triumph DC. Your Advent Offering will provide much needed 'year-end' gifts to two of our strategic ministry partners AND it will help us reach more people in our neighborhood through our ministry hub this upcoming year.

Here's how YOU can be a part!

  1. PRAY. Seek God’s heart for how He is asking you to specifically partner with us in this offering.

  2. HEAR. Allow God to speak about whatever He would have you personally give in this Advent season.

  3. OBEY. Take a leap of faith. Obey God and do whatever He asks of you to do. There are blessings on the other side of obedience.

2025 ADVENT MINISTRY PARTNERS

House of Hope

House of Hope is a non-profit orphanage entrusted with children from the court system in Guatemala.  They have been abandoned or taken out of abusive environments or situations of severe neglect.  The House of Hope team pours their lives into these children and watches them blossom through good nutrition, a safe environment, and a lot of love and care.  The heart of House of Hope is to see each child placed in a loving, caring adopted family and to be an extension of Christ's love to place these kids on a path to fulfill their God-given destiny.

Our mission is to mobilize the Church to provide wraparound support that empowers and stabilizes families at-risk of being separated and fostering families, ensuring protection for children in DC. We support families in DC whose lives have been impacted by the foster care system. This includes kinship, foster, and adoptive families and biological families at-risk for separation.
