Romans 10:9 says, "if you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Committing our life to Jesus is is an acknowledgement that we have sin in our life and that this sin has separated us from God. When we say YES to Jesus, grace steps in, forgives us of our sin and allows us to start over with a clean slate. In that moment, not only will we find freedom and purpose in this life, but it also assures us of spending eternity in heaven with Jesus.
